Efficient and Economic Transportation Solutions with Intermodal Transportation
Intermodal Transportation
Intermodal Transportation is a transportation system using two or more modes of transportation with the same transport vehicle or container, where the vehicles or containers in which the cargoes are placed are handled during mode changes, and the cargoes are not handled.
Intermodal Transportation is the use of more than one mode of transportation without depending on the transport container or vehicle. Intermodal Transport is defined by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe as “the transportation of a cargo in the same transport container or land vehicle by two or more consecutive modes of transport without the cargo itself being handled during the mode change”.
Intermodal transportation reduces costs, provides flexibility in logistics planning, and delivers cargo to delivery addresses faster by offering optimal route & transit time options between the combination of transport modes, origin and destination points and the requested delivery date.
Environmentally friendly with low carbon emissions, minimally affected by adverse weather conditions, walking bans and transit restrictions, high transportation capacity, fixed transit time and 24/7 monitoring, this mode of transportation offers competitive cost advantages. Many of our importer and export customers prefer Intermodal transportation within the framework of European Green Deal targets. Intermodal transportation has become an indispensable part of trade and logistics in the globalizing world.
