Kosta Sandalcı

Kosta Sandalcı was born in 1951 in Istanbul. After graduating from the Austrian High School, he earned an MBA degree from the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University. Following his military service, he began his professional career in the late 1970s at a Germany-based multinational freight forwarding company. After 15 years of corporate experience, he joined a leading domestic freight forwarding and logistics company in the early 1990s as a partner and board member. In August 2012, he sold his shares and began working as a consultant for another international logistics firm.

In 2024, together with his son Aleks Sandalcı, he founded KA Global Logistics Services Inc. in Istanbul, a company built entirely on local entrepreneurship.

Kosta Sandalcı has played an active role in UTIKAD for many years, serving as Chairman of the Board between 2006 and 2010. He also represented the Turkish logistics sector internationally through his leadership roles, including Chairman of the FIATA Road Working Group (2005–2015) and Vice President of the FIATA Board. For 25 consecutive years, he has participated in FIATA meetings around the world, representing both the Turkish logistics industry and UTIKAD. As the former President of UTIKAD and long-time Chair of the FIATA Road Working Group, he was honored with FIATA Honorary Membership for his outstanding contributions.

Kosta Sandalcı speaks fluent German, English, French, Greek, and Turkish. He is married and has one child.
